When you have a baby you talk a lot about the baby's poop. Color, consistency, blow-outs etc. My sister-in-law and first time mother to Cai(4 months old) has quickly learned all about this, so much so she has even considered renaming her blog to 'Diabolical Diaper Chronicles.' With this in mind I have realized talking about Tatum's diapers is a thing of the past BUT we are all too excited to talk about her potty passings. Tatum is very patient with the potty and loves to sit on it, her new thing is puzzles and she will literally sit for 15-20 minutes on the potty if it means she gets to do puzzles. So as a desperate mom I have puzzles in each bathroom and she can only do those puzzles if she sits on the potty. My tactic has worked! She has peed on the potty once a day since last Thursday.
Here she is examining her pee-pee. She did it, and every time she
does we jump and shout and take pictures.
Potty Power!

Potty Power!
Here is a little email I received from Grandma Teri after I sent a text message out last week after her first potty success!
Tricia,
Steve and I laughed out loud when we got your message! That is a
milestone. I knew she was close. When we were there diapered
Tatum pulled the cover from the toilet lid, pushed the lid up,
climbed onto the pot, sat there for a minute, dropped some
toilet paper into the water, and climbed down while saying
"all done." She is such a cutie!
Love,
Teri

So is she totally trained now? Impressive!
Oh no-- she is not totally trained, she is only going pee pee once a day on the potty--sometimes twice. This is just the beginning.
Hooray for Tatum! What a great idea to keep puzzles in the bathroom. I'll have to remember to do the same when we're potty training Cai!
Whoa those photos are explicit
