With the end of my pregnancy and Nash in the NICU last summer,
we didn't get to the pool much. This year with our YMCA membership and the
kids signed up for swim lessons, we are in the pool a lot.
MAY swim lessons
Saylor despite her sweet smile here, cried through most of her lessons.
Lincoln turned into a fish. Although we didn't sign him up for private lessons, he often had one.
The other kids in the class were absent or refused to participate.
He can backstroke the length of the pool
Tatum could swim independently before but lessons have sure helped her confidence and endurance in the water.
Kids are awesome. We got 'em in swimming lessons. If Saylor put
half the effort into swimming that she puts into crying about it all the
way there, she'd be a dolphin by now. Lincoln swims like he
plays...hard and nonsensical at times but always whole-hearted. Tatum
reminds me so much of Brooklyn as a kid that it's ridiculous sometimes.
She reads non-stop, constantly listens to Michael Jackson and is very
devious in her teasing mechanisms. If I ever hear her attempt to
convince Linc that "Nantucket" is a swear word, I'll intervene with a
quickness...
Otherwise, it's family junk as usual...just trying to lay low in the heat.
Out.--Bennie
I am one proud mama!
