Is there anything worse than a sick child?

YES! Two sick children.

Lincoln has had various illnesses for the last two months and last week came down with a fever and horrible cough that still persists.

Tatum seemed to be fine until late Saturday night, her skin felt like it was on fire. Her fever finally broke late Sunday but her eyes are still glossed over and she has begun coughing.

The kids are not sleeping nor are they eating very well. Ben has taken on Tatum during the night and I am trying to pacify Lincoln.
They both seem to be a little better tonight and they are actually both asleep as I type.
It is hard to sleep knowing that you will be awakened again in a matter of minutes, and even if we happen to fall asleep we experience the phenomenon of 'phantom crying'.

We did go to the doctor (again) today and I am confident that we are going to knock this out!

Utah- Mother's Day!

Our Top 10 reasons to travel to Utah:
10. Play guitar hero
9. Eat at Cafe Rio
8. Eat at One Man Band (thanks Todd)
7. We thought it would be really fun to fly with two small children at midnight
6. .So Ben and Brett could talk more about fantasy sports
5. To shop at a Marshall's in a different state
4. To visit our old stomping grounds
3. Thanksgiving point
Most Importantly:
2. To attend Matt, Brooklyn and Cai's Sealing
1. To be with family. That means you: Grandpa & Grandma Poulsen, Grandma Gail, Evans', Grandpa Steve & Grandma Teri (Dad & Mom), Lambert's, Connor's, NY Bunker's and the Nash Uncles. We love you all and miss you already!

The Gift that keeps on Giving!

For Christmas 2007 we received Family San Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park Tickets from PaPa D and GoGo. It has been the funnest gift. We have gone once a month since January and we will continue to try to go once a month.

Here is Tatum at the San Diego Zoo, can you believe the one day we decide to go to the Zoo it is a scorching 95 degrees--we only hung out for a few hours before everyone was hot, exhausted and tired. Ben and I wouldn't have made it through the day without all of Trevor's help, he pretty much kept Tatum entertained while Ben and I passed Lincoln back and forth! Thanks again Trevor, Tatum still makes the bird noise you taught her at the Zoo.

Ben and Tatum on the SkyTram, we rode this a few times; 1. because of the shade, 2. We actually felt a cool breeze and 3. It offered a cool aerial view of the Zoo.

An exhausted Lincoln

The weekend of Lincoln's blessing Grandpa Steve (below) and Grandma Teri came out to visit and we all went to the Wild Animal Park, another fun day and the weather was nice at times a bit chilly.

Which one is the monkey?

Tatum and Grandma Teri
Tatum loves this Carousel she rode it I think three times this day.

Who needs to walk, I've got daddy!

This was our most recent trip at the beginning of May.
My mom came with me and the kids and the weather was absolutely perfect, 70 degrees with sun. All the animals were out and the zoo keepers even mentioned that a few new babies were out because the weather was so great! I think this lion has seven cubs lying in the background, I think she thought Tatum was one of hers as well.

She is the best big sister

Tatum has a lot of energy and is a really happy, silly girl AND she is a great big sister.
She is so sweet with Lincoln and she loves to kiss him and comfort him when he is upset.

Just lounging on the trampoline!
