I can't believe...

that summer is almost over!!!

Just a few things that have kept us busy:

Steff and I have set up a booth at Market Night (see link below)
http://downtownredlands.com/market.htm
Market Night is also a Farmer's Market, before we were selling our wares we would come almost weekly for fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables.
Steff is selling bows and I am selling custom flip-flops. I started making a few pairs just for Tatum, those few pairs turned into a few hundred. We are at market night almost every Thursday night. It is fun to be there, making some extra cash and Tatum loves it. She gets her face painted and rides the ponies, and we always have a few extra people hanging out at the booth to keep us company and help with the set-up and take-down.

YOUNG WOMEN

Of course this(YW) kept our family busy but since we have just moved I will be released this week and Ben was recently released from his calling as Gospel Doctrine teacher.

MOVIE
We also took Tatum to her first movie in an actual movie theatre this summer. We saw Kung-Fu Panda and loved it! I am not sure what Tatum actually enjoyed the most 1. Mom and Dad all to herself (we left Lincoln with Pa and GoGo) 2. Popcorn kiddie pack (includes MM's and drink) 3. All the other kids at the theatre or 4. the movie

POTTERY
I finally used a giftcard that I received for my birthday March 2007 at Color-Me-Mine and we took both of the kids. Next time we won't be taking the kids.

SWIMMING
No summer is complete without time spent at the pool

BEEHIVE
Ben and I (sans kids, thanks to my parents) had the opportunity to see Beehive! It was so entertaining and was performed at Prospect Park, this little outdoor community theatre. The theatre reminded me somewhat of the Tuachan in St. George. It was such a fun date!

Tatum & Lincoln
June 2008

Lincoln continues to be such a sweet little charmer, he really is a little flirt and all smiles.
He loves to eat. I hope this means that he won't be picky like his sister or his daddy.
He is trying to crawl but not quite there yet (which is fine with us).
He loves Riggins.
He loves to be outside.
He takes great naps.
He babbles incessantly and he has started testing his boundaries with Tatum and her toys. I love to see them together and he brings such joy to our family.

Vines Family Beach Week 2008

I cannot tell you how much I look forward to 'Beach Week'. With the family growing like it is, it is hard for everyone to coordinate schedules but somehow we manage at least one day to snap the annual grandkids picture. This year we also added the great-grandkid picture which was a feat in and of itself. Try getting 5 kids under the age of 3 to smile for a picture, we tried and that's all I can say.

I can't say that Ben loves the beach, but he does love the weather and he loves playing with Tatum. He loves to go deep sea fishing (which unfortunately was canceled this year) and just relaxing with the family.

I LOVE the beach. I would move there if I could. I love the sun. I love seeing Tatum so happy. I love the family dinners. I love the overcast mornings.

Tatum loved everything about the beach. She loved the sand, shells, birds, uncles and cousins willing to play with her, daddy getting her into the ocean and her 'beachhouse bed'.

Lincoln seemed indifferent about it. He at one point had a mouthful of sand and wasn't bothered at all. Most days he fell asleep in the beach tent.

Thank you once again Vines Family for another fabulous week!
